611 gyro setup

Hello- Just finished building my raptor 90se and installed the futaba 611 gryo. I have read many forums on how to set-up this gyro. One example is that your told not to set your gain any higher that lets say 37%. Thats fine, but is this % set on the amp itself and if so what do you set your radio gain % at. I am using a Futaba 9C and I have the amp set at 36% gain (on normal and avcs) and gain on my radio set at 100%. Also when I had it in my first hover I notice that my rate of speed when I gave it full rudder was very slow. I quess what I need is to know how to set all parimeters on the amp itself and also on the radio for this gryo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks mark

If you set the gyro sens menu to ACT and GY with the radio end points on channel 5 at 100/100 then whatever you set for AVC or NOR is going to be the gain sent to the gyro.

But to answer your question the gyro amp screen shows what the gain is regardless of how you set it with the gyro sens screen or end points or whatever and thats the number you want to keep below 37.

Did you set LIMIT A and LIMIT B on the gyro for around or slightly above 100 on the gyro for the most throw you can get without binding? You have to make sure the channel 4 end points are at 100 when you do this.

After than adjust the piro rate by upping the rudder channel end points.
