I just put on a Raptor Tail Pitch slider and it it has a much smoother action than the stock hurricane one. Only problem is there isnt as much Tail left nose right piro cause the brass bushing is so much thicker. But i dont think that will be a problem. My stock Pitch slider kept sticking for some reason. I dont know why but this one seems like it has a much smother action and less slop. Now i just need to wait for my Raptor tail paddles and bearings to get in so i can fix that tail wag.

Also put on a trex600 flybar. someone suggested the raptor flybar... i got the 600 one on accident. It's nice though cause it has 2 cut outs for grommets you can use to make sure that you have your flybar centered. Hopefully tomorrow i can get up early enough to give it a whirl and tell you guys how it works out.

Has anyone done anything similar?

I've been using the Quick UK tail rotor. It's thrusted, looks better (IMO) than the T-Rex600 tail, and supposedly doesn't have the quality problems as the thrusted T-Rex does.

I have a pic here:

When I put on trhge Raptor tail I used the Gaui slider. It may not have been your slider sticking but the grips sticking on your hub.... THat was the problem I was having.

yeah i thought about the thrusted bearing .. Thats cool to know you can use the quick. I'm gonna see how the rajptor tail assembly works out for me.

Bob your right it could be my tail slider... but im damn happy that the raptor one fits cause otherwise i would have to wait another 5 days to get my heli up. Hopefully winds are calm and i can spool it up tomorrow morning :)

yeah well i test flew my heli today and the Tail left nose right piro was not fast enough. With that big brass stand off there isnt enough deflection to move your tail left until your almost up to a hover. So im gonna either gonna grind the standoff down or just wait for my gaui pitch slider.... i mean theres still a descent amount of left deflection but, just not enough to do anything cool.
