Hey guys.... Need a bit of help (among other things)haha..... I'm fairly new here. My son and I are both learning on a CX2 right now but working toward bigger and/or better things. I just finished building a Trex600 for me and have 450V2 that we're about to start for him. I have NOT bought radios for either but I'm leaning toward buying dual DX7s and am wondering mostly about the servo set up.... I hear the standard DX7 servo that comes in the pckg is too big for his 450???? True???..... I guess my question is this....... Should I be buying tx/rx only and getting different servos or does any of the DX7 pkgs work for either bird????

DX7 is what a lot of people are using including myself.
No you can not use the servo's that come with the DX7 for the 450 you'll need micro servo ie Hitec HB 65
you could use the servo's for Trex 600 for cyclic only.
regards

Actually, the DS285 servos that came in my DX7 Microlight kit will work just fine on a 450. Maybe you're thinking about the S75 servos that come with the DX6?

The DX 7 comes in two flavors, The Multilite with DS 285's and the regular with DS821s. The 285s are micro
size servers and will work with a 450, but are not routinely recommended due to the plastic gears. The HB65MG are the ones most are using and have metal gears.
On the 600 the 821s will fit as they are full size, but again are not routinely recommended. Do a search
for 821 and you will find posts regarding the reasons why.

The S241 metal gears will work in the DS285s, which would be about half the price of buying new servos. I figure that since I had to buy the servos with the radio anyway, I might as well use them (some sellers offer servo-less packages, but all they're really doing is removing the servos from the package).
