Well this is it at last, The Trex Nitro Pro - "VERSION 6" (Color Scheme Fixed - "Verified by three users" - , Head Stiffness Increased, Tail Speed & Stability Fixed, New Muscle Pipe added to model, Updated Piro rate & Skid Error Fixed),
This Trex was modeled from my new actual Model. All dimension & Mass are accurate.
I taught myself 3ds Max during this process, What a great program.

The model is on the Knife Edge Swap pages I will attach a link
http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2938

This will stop the blade shakes
Airframe -> Fuselage -> Heli Mechanics -> Main Rotor -> Paddle
Mixing Ratio 100%-->40%

I will fix it up when I do the Red color scheme next week.

Wait for version 7

And for all those picky People out there.
Yes I did start with the sample Heli. to get the right Hierarchy and then modified and replaced all critical parts.

I hope everyone who downloads this model enjoys it.

Check back as I am sure to update things.
Post request to me if you like an Update, I will do them as I get time.

If your are having trouble with importing TRY the following

Go into realflight and select a different model.

Then go into manage user files under the Simulate Menu and delete the Trex Model you had imported.

Now Re Start Realflight and then Try Importing
the New Trex Version 6 file again.

Now this is the Important Part !!!!
Select the model from the Select Aircraft menu not from the list of last loaded models that appears
at the bottom of the select aircraft menu.

There was a error in the KEX file I had to make sure that the
3DS Max file did not have the FUSELAGE named with a ~CS_ prefix. otherwise the export process does not create a Rootframe and will generate that error every time you try to import.

That was my problem.

All feedback comments are welcome

Version 6 color scheme works great! Mixing ratio tweak fixes the head wobble just right as well. I messed around and made a few more tweaks to get it to fly a bit more like mine, specifically the piro rate and how the tail reacts. Flys pretty good now.

I still have the issue where the heli seems to either gradually baloon up or dive on it's own in FFF. Can't seem to figure that one out. Other than that it's pretty close.

Thanks for your previous and ongoing work to bring us this model in RF. :thumbup:

Version 7 will be out shortly. I have tested it and it flys great "out of the box" with no tweaks. I may kick up the piro rate but that's just personal preference. No shakes or wobbles and I think the weird pitch issue may have worked its way out too (I didn't notice it in my limited testing).

The red color scheme will also be available and I must say, it does look quite spiffy (being that it's modeled after my real canopy). :wink:

Big thanks to Stuart for going the distance with this and giving us all a great model to fly. :noteworthy

Okay the shakes are fixed and I changed the tail rotor to 12.00" and its still slow so then I changed it to 40-50 degrees pitch still not fast enough any suggestions on making the piro faster?

Try Version 7
If that is not fast enough then
Do this in RF Edit the Trex then browse to

Electronics ->> Heading Hold Gyro

Then modify the following

To increase Piro Rate change.
-->> Heading Hold Rotation Rate

To increase Piro Rate Acceleration from a stationary Position Change.
-->> Heading Hold Acceleration

This will fix your problem

Let me know how you go.

Enjoy
