HI !

I had flown Blade CP for more than a year and now jump to a big hurricane...

My Hurricane 550 build is near complete following Bob Finless' video. Just got the Logitech 2100T gyro.

I had to post this question because the manual came with the gyro had many typos -- it seems to me that the manufacturer forgot to proofread the manual before printing ....

The manual says the gyro operates on 4.8 - 6V.
This is correct, right ? ---> I am hoping that information is not a typo....

I am using Align 6A linear BEC that ouputs 5.8V to provide power to receiver, servos, and Gyro.

Has anyone used this gyro on 5.8V or 6V ?

Thanks !!

Most gyros regardless of the brand will work on both 4.8-6v and more. The voltage sensitive component is the tail servo. It will not fry instantaneously if you connect it to 6v but it will reduce the expected life of the servo. For already fast servo, the extra 25% juice will make the servo that much faster and put greater stress on the components and will fail faster. Will it fail in 10-20 flights? NO.
