Hello all,
I just got a mini titan off of a friend and had a wierd crash. I'm using hs65mg, 401 with 9257, align xl 3700 motor and the newer 35amp align esc. I'm using older prolites for now. The first few flights were great, had a pro fly it first and he put it through a good workout. All temps were good. Then last flight of the night, normal circuts for about a minunt then I went to do a stationary flip and when it got upside down motor bogged bad, tail slid about 90deg and started coming down. I almost saved it but it seemed like no power. The wierd thing was I used a newer evo 25c batt that a friend let me use, should have had more power right? I thought maybe running 6volts to the tail servo might have had something to do with it but all day I kept checking its temp and it was cool, and still works. What do you guys think might have happened?

Thanks
Pete

Have you been giving the heli a break between batts ? The esc & motor need time to cool down after a flight. Wether the tail spun out or not would not be the cause of the initial bogging. Sounds like the tail blew out because your headspeed dropped so low. It could have been an esc shutdown due to overheating, that would explain the complete loss of power. Check you motor and batts tho.

Maybe a very silly question, but it happened to many already.
I assume you were in idle-up mode....?
Practically the same would happen if your in normal mode and try a flip.

You know... I thought exactly the same thing, but since I don't know a thing about electric I kept my mouth shut (for once) but the description looks sooooooo familiar to me:oops:

I was in idle up 2 . It was a good 45min in between flights. I keep normal mode at a very low headspeed so I will not forget to switch modes. I have seen that happen and don't care to try it. It just sucks not knowing what caused it. The only diff between flights was the evo batt.

Thanks for the help
Pete

When you get it rebuilt try again with the other batt, perhaps the evo is faulty and I know it sounds daft but check your pitch curves ! all the best.
