First of all, I was thinking about the CP Pro then I saw the CP+ and the price difference (about $70)... Then I compared to the CP. I couldn't believe it was less expensive even with all the stuff it comes with.
Well, as you can tell by the title, I sprung for the CP+.
Here's where it gets interesting... I've been flying Raptor 50s & 90s for a while now and I must say they fly great. But going down to this little thing... I've gotta say it was a handfull. Wrecked it right out of the box. No damage. So, I thought to myself "I need to consentrate a little harder with this thing." So, got it in a not-so-stable hover and had a little confidence so I attempted some FF... wrecked it again. Guess what... no damage. Then I decided to take it slow until I got the hang of this little booger. As I was about to take off, the neighbor kids asked me how high it can go. So, I decided to show them about 30 feet... Big mistake considering that above the houses in the neighborhood there was more wind, not alot, but enough. My brand new helicopter ended up on my roof with the neighbor kids barely containing their laughter. Damage assesment... broken skid support. No big deal because the CP+ comes with training gear where the diameter of those little sticks is identical to the skid supports, so I chopped one and made my own... Needless to say, so far a few crashes and $0 in damage. I'm somewhat impressed.
However, I figure that if I can get this thing doing exactly what I want it to (inverted flight, etc.), my other helis are going to be a peice of cake.
That's all I have to say about that.

Hey Steve,

Yep these little Cp's are hell, I own 2. I am a newbie to RC helis and I got to say learning to fly a Blade is the hardest thing I have tryed, so the bigger ones are a bit more stable?

I live in Broomfield, CO. Where do you fly the big birds at? Take care and welcome to the micro club.

Well, got to flying this thing again today. I'm starting to get the hang of it... did some figure 8s today.
The only problem I'm running into is that the tail doesn't hold all that well. But, the way I see it is that if I have to hold the tail where I want it, then it'll make me a much better pilot on my bigger helis.
This thing is turning out to be better than the sim.
Can't wait to try & get this thing inverted.

Hello there steverjr well the blade cp is very hard to fly but I tell you this I anly fly electric heli I had a Blade cx a blade cp a helimax axe cp this one is very very good for learning to fly is even better than the blade, and now I have a blade cp pro. Because the unit is a 3 in 1 you can pug a head hold gyro and i teling you is do very well I just have it for 4 days and and today i just did a complete 360 flip.In my local clup evrybody is flying nitro heli 50 and 90 helicopter most of then raptors and last weekend some guy need to set up his motor and need somebofy to fly it in stady hover guess what evrybody says, That guy fly a steady hover in a blade cp pro with wind up to 5 mph. So I took the transmiter and hover a nitro heli for the first time and i telling you is much much easy to fly. after that I did some figure 8 and some nose in hover like nothing. So if you want to be a better pilot keep going in a small electric they are the best simulator out there,. D

if you can get the cyclic going good, then do your self a favor and drop the 99 bucks shipped to get the free style belt drive tail...

I was thinking of picking that up for mine, you own one? how is it? I havnt seen any 3d flown with one yet.

Yea I learned to fly a collective pitch on a Blade CP pro. I then moved on to Trex 450s and now my 600N.

This weekend after a couple of months off I pulled the CPP out and holy crap what a hand full. I forgot what it was like to really fly one. So I burnt at least 8 packs through it untill I could fly it as well as I used to. Its good practice to fly one of these because you are constantly making corrections as opposed to every once in a while on a bigger bird. they are worth keeping around just for that, And the fact that it is fun to buzz around my yard.

I will say it is a worthwhile investment to put a HH gyro on them, it makes flying them alot easier.
