I was thinking about a Logo 500 for my next heli. I have been reading so many problems with them, I am considering the Swift 550. My Swift 16 is my current favorite heli. Is the 550 worth it? I would get the tail box and whatever else is not aluminum in the head also.

I took my 550 carbon out to maiden yesterday and when I spooled up it started shaking like a naked hobo with the DTs in winter.I have all the bling and I wish I had left it off till I got it fine tuned. The fly-bar control arms are not as long as the stock parts,I tried using spacers but I am going to put the original parts back on.If you get the alum. grips, be sure to get the thrust bearings to fit,the stock bearings are different.I am a rookie so I would never give advice.I am sure much of my problem stems from that fact. todd

Swift 16 can be made into a real animal if you want. You don't need the Carbon 550 unless you want the driven tail. I re-engineered an older model Swift 16 into a driven tail and it now serves as my newest camera ship. I love it.
I also have my original Swift 16 , undriven tail, Blinged. Alum. tailbox( a real plus when changing booms you can take the side off the box and never remove the belt.) All mixing arms on the head, changed from the metal Swift bell-mixer arms to a set from another Century prod. a Hawk I believe as they are ajustable. Stock swash and stock plastic grips. If you are running a lower head speed on 5S or less then you may have problems wringing this one out as you may have the flybar control arm touch the blade grips but on 6S and plastic grips no probs.

I really love the value and this is a missile on 6S. Get a quality High cap. and high C-rated pack with lightining 600+ motor.

For any of those who were following the threads on the Logo 5003D, the creator Ralph made a public announcement in several forums stating the 500 model will now ship with metal motor mount and mod.7 gearing as well at no extra cost. I know this is a Century forum however the thread title prompted me to indicate this to you, be well.
