I have put the tail case on the boom and tightened the allen bolt down with some presure and the tail case is still loose.The allen bolt is cranked down firmly already i fear it might strip.Do you normaly have to apply a lot of presure to clamp the cas down.

On mine the 2 halves are almost touching when I tightened the screw. I also wicked some CA on the boom before I tightened the bolt to keep the clamp from slipping.

You can also put a single layer of glass reinforced tape around the boom to give it a bit more meat to hold on to.
