I'm new to R/C copters and would like to know what blades will fit a Mikado 500DX. I'm looking for inexpensive blades due to the fact that i'm a beginner. Additionally, will any 500mm or 520mm blade fit the 500DX. Any help would be appreciated?

Most 500 to 550mm blades should fit the Logo 500DX, the only thing to watch is that the blades mounting bolts are 4mm and a fw of the blades around the 500 size seem to have 3mm holes in the roots. I'm using a set of 500mm BBT Evolution blades which came with 3mm holes but as they aren't sleeved it was easy enough to run a 4mm drill through on my drill press. I've also got a set of MS Composit 540mm blades which actually have thinner roots but come with aluminium spacers to make up the gap.

unfortunatly 550 blades dont fit with 92 tails unless you have a longer boom and the 638 tail belt. 550s will worth with 75mm tails

Eyon,

I am running 550mains with 92mm tail blades on both my machines without issue. I am also running the #3092 extra hard dampers however. Have you heard of a tr and main contact issue in this regards or....?

I run the extra hard dampers (or dumpers if you read the label) and if you flex the blade enough, you can make them touch, its just too close for comfort IMO. 530mm blades are the ones to run on the standard boom for most styles of flight all the way to 3D (ive done hard 3D with 500mm blades but it takes more pitch to do it), but if your into really hard 3D, get a longer boom, 638XL belt and let her rip on 550s!

I've tried 550's with 92 and 85 TB, hard dampers and no problems.
