Doesn't seem like smalltown Ontario has a big Heli following. I've been searching for other pilots in Eastern ON for the past 2 years, went flying with Subtrim once, but he seems to have fallen off the face of the planet. If you're interested in traveling a bit, I'm in Belleville..
Let me kno..

Hi JR, thanks for the offer. I do lawncare in the summer months, so time is at a premium right now. The fall/winter is better for me.
What are you flying?
Paul.

Spent last summer fighting my way through all direction hovers on a CP2. It's been to the grave and back a few times over now. I'm into basic circuits, though I'm not sure the CP2 is getting proper range....
Started a Hurri550 build last month, taking a slow-go at it, and making sure it's all good. Just in the final 'throws' of it now, and really looking forward to getting her airborne. I'll admit, not having someone more seasoned around is likely really hindering my learning curve, as I always do better when being pushed and everyone appreciates having help nearby. In G4 I have very good control of all helis in the list, and am playing with some stickbanging acrobatics / dogfighting helis and such, wondering if it will translate, but not ready to take the plunge in real life.
I'm hoping to be able to fly at the back campus of Loyalist College. I'm alum & faculty now, so I may have an 'in' -- all depends on how they feel insurance will take it. Another option for the winter months could also be the gymnasium there for indoor stuff. BTW the G4 "College Park" is almost IDENTICAL to the loyalist back campus!

I'm flying a CP2 too. Well, not really. It's sitting beside me in a heap. Needs some new part! Am saving up to get either a Blade 400 or a T-REX 450 later this fall.
Post how you make out with the new bird.
Regards, Paul.

Yeah my CP2 has been in that state a few times, I'm starting to think its more of a CP3 now, (all metal head & frame, brushless, twin tail). Its on the bench at the moment too, as I've got a really odd balancing issue and am waiting for some new blades and a new balancer. See attached pic from last 'flight' in the empty bedroom before moving. (Accidentally hit idle1 instead of th-cut, indoors, I buried it into the floor rather than getting it in the face!) As for the hurri, the build is going well -- I spun it up on the bench without the paddles or blades last night, and it seems to be just about ready for the maiden. Next, to balance the blades/head and take 'er out... maybe even this week :D:D
Oh yeah, and are there any Eastern Ontario fliers 'hovering' or lurking the thread? Belleville, PEC, Trenton? - Thought I'd try the 'callout' too!
