Hi clawing,

I love the head on the Stinger 50. I have only hovered the machine for a short time, working on the clutch and engine, making it smooth. I will know whether I love it after a little more flight time. I did have a Stinger 30 which proved to be a very nice flyer. I expect even more out of the 50 !

I have a 30, and I got it in July. Its been very successful for me. Just started to learn nose in inverted with it. High up of course. The price of a mistake is the best part, parts are at a go price and the costumer service is great. I have a eCCPM conversion from TP that I'm going to give a try, I'll post it here if anyone is interested?

Would LOVE to see it Joe!! Thanks for offering to share.

Joe is a testament to how far you can go with the Stinger. He was barely hovering in May 04 and now he is dogging his Stinger and Ion-X and buddy boxing with his wife helping her learn to fly!! Rock on Joe!! :smokin: :noteworthy

Well, I have one and I can say honestly that I have had a 'few' issues...

I have probably 2-3 gallons through it....

How many flights are you guys up to?
I am not an extreme 3d'er but, I can forward flight and toss it around a little... much more than just hovering and set up time...

Is anybody 'tossing' it around hard?

I'm curious...

RDW,

Yes we have a field rep name Jody Greer who's been putting a lot time on his machine and he's right there in you're neck of the woods. Jody lives in Lenoir. I'll contact Jody and have him PM you.

Take care,
David

I have flown Jody's Raptor with Gohbee head conversion and the head flies very good IMO. No pitcheyness in FFF and its solid in a hover yet responvie during 3D. I banged his around for a couple of minutes and loved it! Made me want one!

I flew my 30 pretty hard and had some problems related to it being and early run machine.
Gohbee was quick to address the issues.
The review of my 30 can be found here on HF.

My 50 is also an early run machine (The first!) but it appears to not have the initial problems of the 30.
I only had a few flights on it before Winter set in. I am looking forward to getting back out and turning the heli over to my son, Kyle.

It's great that Gohbee acted quickly to address the issues :) , I wish other manufacturers would sort there problems out that quickly.

Just out of curiousity, what problems was you having with your 30 and 50 rstacy?. :)

It would be easier to read it here

Let me know of that doesnt work and I will email it to you.

The only problem with the 50 was my fault when I dorked an auto and broke a link.

What are you going to do about the weight shift?. What I mean is that your heli might be tail heavy as the servos are no longer at the front of the heli but are more central. What can you do to balance it back out again?. :)

I have a Stinger 50 that started out life as a Stinger 30.

Mine is set up with;
OS 50 Hyper
TJ Pro gov w/ 9253 servo
401 w/ 9254
3, 9252
4000mah Lion battery w/5.1v regulator.

This thing is a blast to fly.
I am still doing some tweaking on the head setup, but when I finally get it fully dialed in to fly the way that I want, its going to be a monster.

It worked great! Has as much cyclic as stock! But I dumb thumbed it on the third flight and have not touched it sense. I did how ever go with the r50 aluminum mixing arms, just for a little more bling. This might get me fixing soon, never know.
