Hello,
I just received 2 sets of this paddles originally made for the T-rex 450. I want to use them on my Lepton, like some of you did. But on this last heli the threaded portion of the flybar is very short: 5mm. The T-rex one is threaded on 6,5mm and is a lot shorter than the one of the Lepton, so less efforts on the paddles( since the paddles are closer from main mast).
So how did you do it? Did you modify the flybar to make a longer threaded portion? I have the tool and i think a 10mm long threaded section would be better. Is it the good idea?
Thanks for your help

Just screw them on as far as they will go, they will hold.

Thanks. The hole depth is 15.5mm. The flybar is threaded on 5mm. So do you mean i just have to screw the paddles on 5 mm and stop or should i screw it until the flybar hits the end of the hole (15.5mm then) with 10.5mm of the flybar just being tight in the hole, with no thread?
Thanks for your help.

Screw the paddles on till the thread dissapears then maybe 3 or 4 turns more, they will get tighter to turn, use your judgement to how tight you feel is tight enough to keep the paddle from turning in flight (shouldnt need to be rock solid).

Thanks.
I did what you said but also created 2.5mm more of thread on each side the fly bar. It's shorteneing a little bit the overall lenght of it but it's safer to me.
Thanks again.

and have you had a chance to fly it? does it change the cyclic?

No, not yet. Tomorrow is my day of. I should be able to test it. I also have a set of SAB blades, 3D version. I will test them after. One thing at a time.

I tested it! Well no real change compared to the stock ones except i have no longer some play of teh paddles on the flybar. The removable weights saved me after i changed the blades for a set of Sab ones (3D version). The heli was sudenly a lot less maneuvrable. I had to remove the weights to return to the same flight caracteritics (approx) i had with the stock blades.

I am running the gorilla paddles and noticed a huge improvement in cyclic compaired to the stock paddles. They weigh signifcantly less then the stockers so the cyclic is much more responsive.
