So I bought a Blade CX and was throughly enjoying it. It was great practice and fun to fly. One day I decided to fly it outside in what I thought was a calm day but the wind turned out to be too strong (no surface wind, stronger wind at 20'). Long story short I lost the CX heli in the worst 100sq-ft of bush in this town and several days of looking couldn't find it, than it rained. So I'm ordering a new CX from ebay and it should be here in a week or so and I have an extra remote.

So, question is, can I turn this remote into a remote for my PC for a simulator? It doesn't have a trainer port and will need modification on my part. I am an electrical engineering student so I have the skills to modify it, but not much time to design a mod.

I would really like to not make that purchase entirely in vain by doing something useful with the remote.

I think the CX TX has built in mixes that you cannot change.

It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. But good point. I keep forgetting that nearly everything is handled transmitter side on most RC things. There isn't a simulator that allows me to adjust things with the software and use a basic remote?
