just a side by side comparison...

Granted the Trex head doesn't come with the swash and washout arms. It just seems like that head assembly is quite over priced. Am i being a cheap a** or is it overpriced?

Funny. Prices seem to go up or should i say GAUI smelled the money, as every company does sooner or later.
I got all CNC parts for hurricane seperately and i spent 260$. I guess combo pack should be cheaper than that?

Agree, some people are claiming that Hurricane is cheap, I would say that it is not true for parts. Given the quality issues I have had with my metal head (screws in CNC grip too short), I would say even that it is even a rip off. The CF frame is another example, priced at 200 US it is really expensive.

Here i found it a bit cheaper! http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3_30_38&products_id=1489&osCsid=4b3833767bf3f53ddd86070ef8df8bb3
And the CF Frame comes here with a pair of CF blades which are 55-60 bucks alone!!

I never order there yet but i will when i have the money for the CF frame! If i brake my stock one.

219!! Wow that is a lot more reasonable!! I wonder why theres such a price difference between the two sites... i'm sure readyheli would price match them.

To be honest here folks the difference is quite simple. Align buys 10,000 cnc parts at a time, GAUI does not. Hence the cost is higher when acquiring them from a cnc shop. Fung @ Flying-Hobby must have some kind of trade barter established, because I too would love to be able to sell retail lower then what I pay wholesale for the head. I asked GAUI about this, it could honestly be that he is blowing them out at a loss to get them moving.

but do you really need the whole head? seems like the head kit comes with parts not needed, Swash, mast, flybar, balls etc, looks like you can get the parts you need for $150

You can put me down for one if you still have em.
One thing I saw was the gaui heas was more complete, the align head showen did not include the swash or the mixing arms.

I see now that Flying hobby has raised their price to mach Ready Heli pricing although now I can purchase the parts seperately for a 28 dollar savings and seeing that I have to tear down and check anyway I see no reason to purchase the complete head from either site
Just my 2 cents

I live in North Carolina USA and the difference in shipping between www.flying-hobby.com and www.readyheli.com should be considered here as well. Shipping from HK cost me $68.00.Shipping from www.readyheli.com is free over 100.00(usually)

Yes my Hurricane shipped from Hong Kong to North Carolina for $68.00.There was a $50.00 shipping option but it was said to take longer. My order arrived at my house in 6 days. I bought this combo because I wanted the Carbon frame and blades and 75 ESC and 1100kv motor. http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3_30_36&products_id=1825
I have also ordered some upgrades and spares from www.readyheli.com ZERO shipping charges to my house!

I guess shipping to the US is a lot more expensive then to the Netherlands.
I payed 215$ for the headcombo (deal of the day) and 21$ shipping (speedpost 3-5 days) at Flying Hobby.
Although communications with Fung can be a bit time-consuming due to the language barrier, his service and prices are excellent.

Yes my shipping was more due to the weight/size of my order.
