Black Sheep is up for a 40X300 Paved Runway!!!
Have talked with the Paver that is working with us on the Greenville Project,and have got it set up to Pave a 40X300 Runway. It will happen buy Hallowen!
We have to further the sport so all can enjoy it. Lets Fly some Jets ,Helis, Foamies., And anything we can get in the Auto. Charles Davenport

I am supervising a storm drain & sewer project in downtown Greenville. Am geting materials at a discount !! So it is all Good,will start this week preping for it.

Yea the club is getting a paved runway even tho most of the members dont want it.It wasnt voted on by the club which I think it should of been.Money could of ben better spent else where such as maybe getting some water hooked up so people could actually use the bathrooms when needed.We've got two bathrooms but they are locked up so you have to use the woods lol! Anyways back to the runway,I've flown off paved runways before its good if your flying tricycle landing gear tail draggers which most of the club flies will be a definate adjustment lol

3dfury You are So Wright in every thing you mentioned. The Runway was a Gift from the owner. I personaly Think No vote was necessary for that? Still have a grass runway for those that don/t like Black Top.
Yes I would like Power & Running Water, we all need to get active in the Club again ( including myself) and make some very needed Changes.
A Club Vote is Required when you use Club Money! So lets Vote on what is the Best way to get the most out of our Club Dollars.
| I have a friend that is in the Well Drilling Business that will do it for Cost.
Power is at the end of the Entrance to the Field now. It was going to cost us $4500.00 to get from Fire Tower Rd. The Club has already paid the deposit for 100' of under ground burial it should be minimal now.

Lets All get together and Vote on More i won't Discuss on here??

Thanks for spending your money on the runway and also for letting the field use that NICE piece of land you could probably turn into 2M Dollars if you sold it. You RULE Charles!!

Thanks Charles for the runway! The work is superb and this definetly is a plus for the field..

I flew both my E-330L and Yak off of it today and it is truly wonderful. The run off area at the end of the paved strip does a great job of slowing the model once you run off of it. The transition on all sides of the asphalt is smooth to the grass and the model does not know it is there.


Liked it so much, I spent nearly two flights doing nothing but take-off/landings.

I already can envision those sliding autos now as there are no bumps at all...

BTW....NO vote from the club is required for the land owner to do something to his land, especially for an improvement to land he owns..Thanks again Citypickle!

OK Doogie, Tapeworm, Jon Jennings, Wayne Ellison and me were out there today trying out the new runway. Doogie and me did the first inverted blade scrapes. The runway is cool. Doogie was taking his heli off like a plane and landing it like a plane on the super smooth surface of the runway. Hope to see more people out there having fun like old times. John Garst sorry to see your plane like that.
