I have the Raptor Titan 50 with the pro 50 engine and would like to see some of the pitch and throttle curves you guys are using to get a 3/4 stick hover.I have the stock wooden blades and it seems Thunder Tiger is worried about spinning them too fast and i dont have a tach yet!
This is what i have for settings now but havnt tried to hover it yet.I will be home this weekend and want to try it but i am leary of my settings. What do you guys think? DX7 radio by the way.

Throttle
1-0 for idle and will kill with trim all the way down
2-25%
3-50%
4-75% Is 75% too fast for 3/4 stick
5-100%

Pitch
1-44% = about -4 degrees pitch for now
2-inh
3-50% = 0 degrees
4-75% = 6 degrees
5-100% = 10 degrees

Some of us started with half stick = half throttle = hover many, many years ago.

When I first started hovering at 3/4 stick, I simply moved the 50 percent throttle point to that stick position. If that's too slow, you can bump it up to 60 percent or so and try it out, but be careful with the wood blades. I haven't flown them in years, so don't remember how fast they can go. Some folks do run linear throttle "curves" with very good results.

Most carbs show very little change after the barrel opens about 80 percent, simply due to the circular throat area and rotary barrel. Your RPM will go up very little from that point on and you are at virtual full power.

Hope this helps,

Ron

Thanx for the reply RocketMan!
I wish i had been around yesterday to look at your reply as i was out camping and had the Titan along and test flew it on saturday and today i was flying it and the covering came off the last 3 inches of one of the main blades!
It scared the heck out of me!!
I am going to order some carbon fiber blades on monday.
Not sure what brand to go with though.I was thinking of the Curtis Youngblood Radix 600mm blaeds if i can find some.
It looks like they are hard to find as everyone seems to be out of stock.
