Cool. So you know Tom Milner? I met him once (very briefly). Not in slightest bit helicopter related. But cool nonetheless! :D

Acually it is Heli related.
Tom called me outside one day because he knew I flew planks.
He had a heli with a hula-hoop on it in the (small) parking lot.
He handed me the controller and in his great german accent said
"Herea Fidlar..........fly this domn thing"
I told him that I had only flew planes but I had heard these things were hard to fly. I tried to hover it a little, but not wanting to crash the boss's new toy I set it back down.
He took the controls to give it a shot and promply flew it into the back of one of the employee's kinda rare sports car
"Shiet Fidla...these domn things are harrd to fly!!" :D
That was back in 1996, and the first time I had seen a heli or tried to fly one. I had completely forgotten about it.
I think he still has 1 or 2 heli's but has givin up trying to fly them

LMAO
That is a great story! I didn't have the slightest clue that he was into helis (or RC at all, for that matter).
As a member of the BMW CCA I follow his racing efforts and I'm a big fan of Bill Auberlen. I think it's pretty cool how these two interests (RC and BMW racing) overlap in such an unexpected way.
You think you can get me into the paddock the next time they are at Road Atlanta??
