I would like to buy a second transmitter and dedicate it for Phoenix. Actually it does not have to be a real transmitter but just a box with two joystick that Phoenix can recognize.
What would be the cheapest solution?
Thanks,
Kam

BCX2 2.4 gig transmitter will work, Horizon Hobby sales them for 59.00 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1055 I may have seen one for 49.00. I have one and it works. However I travel alot and wanted something to take on the road with out having to worry about damage to my DX7 by the airlines yet something close to the same feel as the DX7 so I went to my local hobby shop and bought a used JR 72 megahertz for 40.00. It works great and closely resembles the feel of my DX7.
Buy something used. Rip out the battery and add a wall wort from radioshack so it will run none stop.

Any basic 4 channel will work.
$29.95 - http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V469339
Although I prefer a real Heli Tx, so I have Idle Up and Throttle Hold on the Tx rather than having to use the keyboard. I use a JR 6102 I picked up on eBay or one of the RC classifieds.

Good point. Actually I do have eSky transmitters laying around and the Phoenix site says that eSky transmitters are supported.
Phoenix came with two connectivity options, a earphone like mini plug and an adapter for a squarish connector (see picture).
My eSky transmitter came with a round mini din connector (see picture).
How do I connect it to the Phoenix?
Thanks,
Kam

Order the Futaba Round/Hitec adapter.
If I was home, I would offer to send you one for shipping. When I bought Phoenix, I had a Hitec, now I am JR.
BTW, I have not tried the auto demix of 1.04, but I tried to set up my Blade CP CCPM Tx for Phoenix and had a heck of a time trying to demix the CCPM.

Nope, just go to Purchase, Online Ordering, Accessoires, and it is the Futaba/Hitec DIN.
Or from Tower, this will work: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXNW27&P=V

Great help!

If you plan to use this Tx solely for the sim i suggest hard wiring the buddy box connection to avoid all the connectors and adding a wallwort for power.
