Just putting finishing touches on my build. The grub screws on my 600 sport are fine and fit well, BUT the hole that the flybar threads into is way too big! The paddles slide in and out freely. Unless the grub screws are the sole locator of the paddles (highly doubt it), Then I would say I have a new paddle problem! The paddles go about 1/2 inch into the threads of the flybar (freely) and then stop. Even if I push and turn hard, they do not start to thread. Last time I checked, the paddles are supposed to start threading immediately. Am I wrong OR should I make a quick trip down to assurance rc?

Sounds like bad paddles to me. They shouldn't go more than about 1/8" before starting to thread on. The set screw is just to keep them from spinning, not to hold them on.

Well that's what I thought. I think I may go down there then. Frankly, I would never trust just a set screw to hold a paddle anyway.

EDIT: Went down there and it turns out it was fine, although I am still not comfortable with the fact that the paddle will slide 1/2 inch into the flybar before it starts to thread. I just had to push and turn harder to get it to start. Nice PPL there though, saved me a huge headache with head setup.
