Looks like an interesting model, part cost was my only concern on it since I am in the States.

I am also in the states, and the currency exchange is not looking pretty, especially after the fed’s announcement yesterday to cut interest rates... Can’t win them all I guess:arggg:.

Just got mine to the tidy wiring state. Superb build and quality.
Just past the photo stage attached. (Apologies about the photo quality and mess!)
Hopefully fly this weekend.

Dear all
Just to clarify I am moving abroad later this year so I sold all my other helis and donated this paticular machine to the AHA to raise funds for the UK team.
Sean bought this superb machine off the AHA and I wish him the best of luck with it!
I have decided to take up my other love interest of Kitesurfing. When the wind isn't right I will be in the judges chair for F3C.
Good flying to all!

I read a review of that in MHW, sounds like quite a machine. The head looks like the Avant programmable head but with the added feature of moving the thrust bearings to the end for FAI or in the middle of the stack for sport/3d.
I just wish it wernt out of my price range.

HI,
i was just reading the messages as i did not come since a loooooong time and saw the post about Avro :)
The heli has now a new possibility in the head setup, with modified delrin inserts to make the head more " rigid" and allow hardcore 3D with reducing boom strike risks.
The transmission is very strong and well done, and the parts are really of an high quality.
The masts are delivered in plastic bags and are lubed to prevent any corrosion durint stocking or shipping, and well the carbon is of a very high quality.
The most impressive is the price of spare parts, and if the original investment is a bit high, maintenance is not expensive at all.
To answer for the paintscheme, here is a canopy i made, i made one for myself and Blitz Helicotpers liked it so we made one for them :)
Here it is :)
If you have any suggestion on paintjobs do not hesitate to tell me, we are searching for funny & class designs to make for a few demo canopies.
Best regards,
Fabien
