Wanted to migrate to CF Hurricane, but I must say that the pricing is strange. I mean you can get complete Align Trex 600 CF with motor, ESC for 400 US today, I try to find arguments why I should pay same for Hurricane CF but w/o motor and ESC, espacially given all type of problems I have had with the early Hurricane kits and parts I bought, lot of problems in general with serious quality issues. Also a trend seems to be increased prices for Hurricane parts, too bad since it was promoted as a low cost heli in the early days.

Has someone not directly involved in Hurricane sales tried the CF kit ? Is it worth the money ? It is better to wait for 3rd party CF frame ?

I not so attracted my Trex 600 due to the lipo requirement, otherwise I would for sure have considered Align.

Bought my CF hurricane as a combo which seemed to be a better deal. So far have been impressed with the quality, only issue is they are still using the short ball links which I replaced with Raptor links. Taking it slow on the build will let ya know how it flys!

That is gonna be $400 without batteries. And it is the batteries where you will pay dearly with the Trex 600.

Did a little internet shopping the cheapest Trex 600 CF with motor and ESC was around 560.00. No electrics 400.00 and as Carl said the Trex batteries cost alot!

TREX FG with motor and ESC for 400 US:

CF frame 100 US

I saw someone saying the reason Align has lower prices is because they have larger volume, but for me as end user it is not an argument to pay more for GAUI stuff.

The CNC head cost 300 US, it is twice the price of the align comparable CNC head.

And I agree the Hurricane is less lipo demanding, thats the reason I have it ...
but 200 US for a simple CF frame I dont know, a crash would hurt !

This Machine rocks (gaui 1100 with 2 x 3200 evo's) Much quicker than my 600e. Soooo light . Shorter flight time is a bummer!
But its a trade off!

Dear ALL<

After upgrade to CF and modified the lower frame to accomodate thicker battery, can I use single pack of 6s 4.5A from APLUS?

Thanks for advice.
