Hello,

I have a graupner ULTRAMAT 10 charger for charging LiPo and Mih.
I'm very happy with the charger, however I just purchased a FlighPower V-Balancer.

The problem is my charger doesn't recognize anymore that a battery is attached and doesn't start the charging program. My Balancer is properly connected and the Link Mode led is on (which would normally mean the charger should sense the battery no?).

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Dear Patrick,

I'm not familiar with the Ultramat 10 from Graupner but I'm using a Power Peak instead for charging my lipos. I'm also using the V-Balancer that's doing great job in balancing FlightPower batteries. I would simply suggest that you start first connecting the balancer plug from your battery allowing the balancer to detect any inbalance in the pack. Then you connect the battery main cables to the balancer to start with the Link mode (orange led on). Then only you should connect the leads on the charger side of the balancer to your Ultramat. Under such condition will the latter recognizes the effective connection to your battery.

In the hope this will help you using this nice device

With best regards

check to see if the 10amp fuse on the balancer is still good and not blown.

Nope, nothing helps.

I went back to the store and tried another one with my charger and it works perfectly.
I guess I had a bad one.. but now they need to send it to the factory (because I replaced the connectors on the cable,...can you imagine)... So I'm stuck for at least 2 weeks without it, my luck again.

thanks for the suggestions.
