I found a plastic, quick-release clip that allows me to adjust the angle of my transmitter...no need to buy a tray now...

Don't see anything special about it.
Is the part that goes thru the eyelet on the transmitter so tight that it will not move?
Other than it being that tight, what is special about this clip?

hi david...you guessed right...the yellow hook diameter is slightly smaller than the eyelet of the transmitter, so it holds the angle selected without slipping...i use the position shown in the upper right picture...that places the transmitter in a nice position for my forefinger and thumb stick control, switching the idle-up and throttle hold switches, and reduces chance of accidentally going full throttle...some guys are using a threaded eyebolt with locknuts on both sides of the eyelet...my transmitters are either 2.4 or smiley ducky type, so they really needed the cg adjustment...ken
