Finally got around to installing these SWEETTT Servo Supports that have been sitting on my desk for a week or so. ;)
As a lot of you guys know, I ran Ron's supports on my R90's and now on my R50. Since I have not test flown these, I cannot tell how much difference they make, but on the R90 they definitely made a noticable difference, especially the Collective became a lot more precise.
The Cyclic ring is for my G3, I have ordered 2 more for my 9CHP's because I really like it!!
Ron's Website is http://www.4D-RC.com
Thank you Ron,
Laurens

I need a Cyclic ring with my own name on it  . Does it fit on the 9C?
Laurens,
I have them to fit most poular radios and G2/G3...check out the web page.
Will,
I just got your two rings for your 9C's shipped out this afternoon, I used a little bigger text on the engraving and they look Smokin Hot!! :D :D

Hi Ron,
I want to order a couple of these for the collective servos on my R50s. I'm using KO Propo servos which use the same arms and screws as Airtronics servos. Are your JR servo supports compatible with Airtronics/KO Propo?

Hi
Is there any reason why the servo support for the R50 collective will not fit the Raptor 90.
Andy
Guys,
The supports for the Raptor 50/30 will not fit the 90/60 because of the arrangement of the servo arm on the 90/60.
Airtronics: I am pretty sure it will fit, however, I will need to know what size thread you need for the servo arm stud (screw). Is it an M3 screw (like JR) or an M2.6 screw (like Futaba)?
You can find some pics that should help clarify the questions on the webpage.
Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron
Are there any plans on releasing a servo support for the R90 collective, if so I would be interested in two :)
Thanks
Andy
Andy,
If there is enough interest I think I can offer the supports for the collective for the 90's. I have a had a couple guys show interest. I may work on some if enough guys want to buy them to make it worthwhile.

I still need to measure the one I have left from the ones you custom made for me Ron. What exactly do you need measured?
Thanks and sorry to take so long on it.

Hi Ron
You can put my name down for two. How many do you need to start a run?
When you have enough numbers please email me.
Cheers
Andy
Will these supports work with the push/pull elevator on the 50? If so I'll take a couple :D
Yes. I believe some guys have used them with the push pull elevator. All the ordering info is on the webpage.
BTW, if for some reason they don't fit, just return them in the original condition, and I'll refund your money. I am sure you'll like 'em though :D
Thanks,
Ron
Ok guys,
I seem to have quite a few people that are interested in servo supports for the Raptor 90/60's. I have my design work done, and I am going to CNC some proto's in the next few days. I should have pics posted by next weekend at the latest (since I have to work this weekend :( ).
Stay tuned :glasses2:

I don't want to be nit-picky, but isn't that collective servo brace running the wrong direction? I would think that you'd want the brace running parallel to the direction of the load placed on the servo, which in this case would be vertically (top to bottom of the heli, across the width of the case, not the length). Running it horizontally as you did may help a little bit, but the vectoring is all wrong. The problem still remains that the servo can rock side to side in the servo frames. If you were to tie it in vertically, then you stabilize the output shaft, and stop the servo from being able to rock in the frame. All that was done here was to stabilize the output shaft in relation to the servo itself (but 90 degrees to the direction of the load, not parallel).

These supports work GREAT. I can tell the difference between my R50 with and my R50 without!! Thank you Ron!!
The servo cannot rock at all withthis support. If you are at Chatti try it on my R50 Buddy. It is locked down tight, ZERO rock at all.

Thanks Ron, I put my cyclic ring on my 9303. Works well.
The sevo supports went onto my eRaptor50V2. They work with the push/pull elev setup. its tight, but it fits well.

Sorry but.... what is the purpouse of those cyclic rings?

Alicotero
Set your nick to as much as you can get. Then set your aileron to as much as you can get.
Now when you give full aileron and full nick, your swash will bind.
Instead of lowering the AFR, you can buy a cyclic ring. This will allow you to get full cyclic without moving it to much in the corners.

Although I am only flying around I have one of those too. If you have a 9C you can make a cheapo one from the raptor 30 red gear.
