Update number one.. breaking news!!!!

First I had to assemble some parts. The motor had to be screwed in first. A hard job because I did about 30 minutes over it. Since I received it yesterday at about 21.00 pm I needed to get some sleep once I finished  .

Then today, the first day of real assembling. I noticed yesterday the bladebolts were missing. I phoned so I'll get some new ones on tuesday. Then I found out my Rx had just one canal too short. I was looking at my Caliber which is still waiting for its maiden voyage after his first crash. Took out the 149DP from it. So I installed every servo. Then went programming and I noticed one servo was a little f*cked up. I changed the servo to another canal and the problem still existed on the same servo. I checked it, the cable was broken. I had a cable left from a futaba servo, so I went to a friend to resolder it from the print. Now everything works  . Time for new trouble now... I phoned the man I got the Eolo spirit from, and I mentioned I didn't know if the ESC had a BEC. Well it did and I checked. BEC worked ok but the motor went to full throttle  Since I was missing the bladebolts I was lucky to not have the maiden voyage right there  . Now I just found out all I have to do is reversing it in my Tx.

Now I'm ready for more evil electric discovery's tomorrow  :smokin:

Ok today I found out the servo still isn't working like it should. Bladebolts arrived, so now it's programmed ready to fly. I built a small wooden trainingUC, so tomorrow when the new servo arrives I'll maiden it

First test went great - that means everything is still in one piece. The gyro sucks, I need to upgrade it to a 401-9254

Ok I just ordered a CSM LW200. I figured since a Hitec HS 81 will be just as fast as a 9353 why bother spending more money on a 401 combo :badair:

BTW why does nobody replies on my thread? Do I need more pics :dontknow

Ok today I found out the servo still isn't working like it should.

Purchase a replacement servo if you can. Send the bad servo in to Hitec for service, it's really not worth risking your Eolo because of a bad servo. :)

Any progress... Well today the gyro sucks less then yesterday. I guess that's because I mounted it backwards  Building without any manuals isn't easy :glasses2:

Tomorrow I'll fit my 401 on it. I guess I'm too spoiled by it to try a non-HH gyro :smokin:

today bad news. I put the 401/9253 on it. I needed to reverse the rudder, but I accidently reversed throttle :bomb: Very stupid. Then I reversed rudder, but forgot throttle. I went downstairs to make some coffee, and then back to try if it stopped piroing. I started and went to full throttle (about 2000 rpm), and I was scared shitless. Nothing worked but I still figured if I moved the stick up it would fly in my room :arggg: . So I went for the other option, removing the battery. I did that in a hurry and noticed that my middle finger was bleeding like hell. Went to the doctor and got 3 stitches :( . It's about 2 mm deep there, and I could see my vains. .

Moral of the story:
- I'm dumb
- I'm too dumb for electro
- Electro sucks
- My finger looks cool inside

Anybody wanting to trade for a Fury

Pics will follow.

Unlucky dude, don't give up on the Eolo, give it another shot but this time be more pre-cautious.

How long until you finger heals?.

Give us some more shots of the Eolo, maybe some close ups. :)

Great, hope the wound heals up fast. If I lost my fingers I would give up life, dont think I could handle not being able to fly :D .

what do you use the middle finger for while flying nigel, to notice the plankers your getting started or something like that

BTW I heard they don't count the Eolo Spirit to microheli's can a mod move this topic?
