Hi!

Unfort. my Hurricane went down today. I think, the broken elevator lever was the reason.
Also the bearing in the new cnc blade holder are damaged. With heat i was able to disassemble
the holder. But i loose the right sequence of the other parts in the bladeholder.

Does anybody know the right position?

Addendum: I think in the same sequence like the plastic part!

Heimo

I got a new elevator lever for mine a while back and have not gotten around to putting it on..Looks like I better get it on. Were you doing 3D flying when it broke ?

Hello Tom!

The only one 3D figure i´m able to fly is a looping. I´m a 2D person ;) and
like to fly wide-ranging and did not that hard work on pitch.
If anybody would ask me in the future, i would recommend that part as a CNC
part. If you look on the quadratic area of the lever its really thin walled.

Expensive lesson for me 8/

The one I got is the CNC one. I better replace it before I go up again then. Sorry to hear about your crash.

Last crash I had was on my trex 450 when the aileron servo went bad in the air. Was like watching the heli in slow motion crash into the ground and not being able to do a thing about it. I was just flying in a smooth level flight when it happened.

Personally I would rather crash because of something I did wrong, instead of a defective part being the cause.

Thats 100% right, Tom, because of defective parts i lose trust in a product. And i am
on that way with my Hurricane :(

1st crash at first start because of a broken one-way-gear.
2nd crash now with that %§$%&§"! elevator lever

Hello heimo!

I'm sorry about your crash. I found that fault before the crash could happen and i posted the warnings on this forum. Read through the forums again, you will find other problems that can be avoided without crashing.

Here is the problem: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7614469&postcount=1238

Another thing you should pay attention is the 42T front main gear. Get the new motormount with 3 bearings support. Wear on that 42T is a big issue. Bearings also.

hi Phoinix!

hmmm.......could be, that i saw your information on that board anytime, but forgot it!
thats bad........

if i use the cnc lever, should i drill new holes on my server disc? because i saw, that the
holes on the cnc lever are lineally.

Thanks,
Heimo

Both holes are linear throught the servo disc center, yes. I modifyed my servo disc by drilling one new hole, leaving other like it was, and used subtrim to get the right position od the disc.

CNC elevator leaver is a must! Safety first.

Try poking the pin that holds the tail grip link to the pitch fork slider. This is held by the plastic fit on the pin. As the temp goes up, it will expand more than the metal and possibly fall out. If it is not too hard to poke it out, either smear it with CA at the end or replace it with longer pin and one way washers. New CF version we received came with this design change done to it already.
