Hi all - just wanted to check what size screws you are using to mount the servos in the Hurricane plastic frame. I went to mount my futaba 3151 servos at the weekend and the screws that go into the brass bush that mount in the rubber grommet are to narrow in diameter and dont screw into the frame.

Cheers Jactor

hi I had the same problem and guessed on a size and found the 2.5x10mm dubro hex head screws worked perfect, I did NOT use the bushings and rubber grommets because I was told with the heli you want solid mounting at least for the ccpm so their is no movement at all, but I did use a washer on every one because without the bushing their would be nothing to hold to on the servo

hope that helps

I believe that you still want to use the rubbers in the mounts as you need a little bit of movement so that all vibration is not transfered to servos

I had the same problem. I used M2x15mm screws + self locking nuts. Used these on the links as well.

It's much easier to mount the servo's when the frame halves are apart. It will take you 10 minutes to install the servo's. Otherwise it will take an hour or so (I know from experience)

Electric helis don't have the destruct vibration of nitro or gassers (single piston boucning all around), so hard mounting works fine.
