Hello,

I was flying with the stock blades because i tried MS420 carbon blades and they was asking too much to the motor at my opinion. Blade chord is much bigger on the MS than on the stock blades.

I just tried the 3D version of the SAB blades. I was hopping a very good result. Well it's not was i was expecting! The heli is very hard to move and i was hopping for it to be more efficient on the cyclic.

First thing i noticed is the blades weight: 64,0g.

Stock blades 60,6g.
MS-420 51,5g.

I had to remove the weights from the Gorilla prog. paddles to go back to approx the same reactions than with stock blades and the weights in the paddles. The only thing that was better is the loops. They are very easy to do with this blades. The diameter is unbelievable for such a small heli with the SAB blades.

So i have a question: what is the weight of a Mah blade? How does the heli perform compared to the stock blades?

Thanks

Nicolas

I got my Mah Blades Yesterday.

Weight is 58-59g

But I have to send them back because the quality was not what I expected ( air bubbles ).

Hope I get a better pair soon.

Thanks. So lighter than the stock blades. Nobody else to give us some flight impressions compared to the stock blades? Please?

MAH blades fly crisper and more agile than stock blades. I believe it is because it is lighter and stiffer. Still waiting to be in stock at readyheli. Haven't tried SAB blades though.

SAB blades suck! Save yourself the headaches and hassles and stick with MAH's.

I've never flown the stock blades or the SAB's but I do like the MAH's. I was waiting to see what others thought of the SABs before I tried them and from what I heard I decided to stick with the MAHs. As far as I know the MAHs are the best for the lepton at the moment. I'd like to see Vic (V2) make a pair for the lepton just to see how they would perform but I don't think he will.

Well, the heli is flying very well with the sab blades (3D version). But the heli is also very slow on cyclic. I had to remove the weights from the Gorilla paddles to have the same reactions than with the stock blades with the weights. This result is not what i was hoping. I'm waiting for some MAH. I will give you my feelings as soon as my test will be done.

Just got to test out my new MAH425's, what a difference they make (compared to the helidirect blades that were on it),
Very quiet and much snappier!!
