I recieved my Logo 500 from Esprit right before IRCHA! I been having a blast with it , the setup is a 45-10 , .05 23t motor pinion , Schulze 32-80 esc , 6100 ( which I dont like ) changing it to a 611, got about 30 flights on it and going great . even cut alittle grass with it since it ran so smooth , ( this year my nuts have gotton a tad bigger. ) :)
Last week I recieved a few goodies to convert it to a Logo 650 . 25mm boom and gearbox from another machine on the market. I also had a few logo 30s laying around and stole the head after installing some 3D dampers from my trex 600, everything fit like a charm, nice and stiff even with the supplied shim it came with . 15 year dampers still looked good , but a tad to soft. used a few other parts off the head that was needed , longer flybar mixing arms . but looking at the new 500 head and my 15 year old logo heads, its the same design that hasnt changed except for the longer flybar arms.
I will be installing the 32-3 with .07 gearing and running 10S single stick Extreme V2 3850s that should romp and maybe hurt the gears , theres another motor Im thinking of useing is the Neu 1915-1.5 Y which has a 450 KV. Its a inrunner , so I wouldnt need the bottom motor bearing brace. the Blades Im ganna use first, are the VBlade 600s , then go on up to my sab 640s . I sure hope I can git R done before winter sets in. its close by

hey , forgot to add , I have another motor I could choose too , its a relic Kontronic 39-08 made in the mid 90s , its brushless motor with a carbon case can, and very tall like a 1521. KV around 450 I think , its on my old logo 30 now that ran a few years ago on a set of tp 8000s , ran cool with lipos but with 32 nicds it got HOT 5 years ago when I ran it

YEH!

BTW I am thinking with the 600 that the NEU 1912(H)1Y at 825kv with a 13T mod.7 should rock on the 6003D as well, granted that Steve got the shaft and bearing thing all fixed up??? Tough to say, I know Danny was running the 32-3 Actro but I might stay away from Actro on my 6003D when it comes, what to run yet not sure..... maybe even a Zpower 70....we'll see what comes down the pipe in the next month to two.

Neu 1912 1y/h on 10s was the way I was leaning now too.
Forget the neu 1915 1.5y on 10s Tony, that's more like a 15s motor.
I'm currently running the 1915 1y (680kv) in my logo 14 on 10s and it is truly nasty powerful. On twelve cells and the 1915 1y on 640mm blades the 6003d would be an animal, but I've got quite a few ten cell packs already...

The esc has always been a limiting factor for me too, I've been sucking over 110 amps through the kontronik 55-10-32 with the neu 1915 1y/flightpower 10s 3700mah setup.
I sure wish kontronik would make an esc between the 55-10-32 and the powerjazz, I've never had very good luck with castle's governor.

Nathan

hey , yeh! well that motor ( 1915-1.5Y) running great on a 12s setup , just as much power as the 32-3 it seams . and you know how the 32-3 acts on 10s on a lite logo machine. so it should be fine. plus Im power hungry , but want to stay a tad under the strip gear sickness.
you sould try the schulze 32-80 , 11s controller , big heatsink , half as big as the 40-160 , thats what I been running on a 6s setup ,
Yeh! Shawn , Ill get another 500 over the winter, but my flying is getting short and I just want to try things .
