I came across this sight while looking at details of a Maxi Joker 2 build. While browsing I found a wonderful source of instruction on creating 360 pano's as well as excellent details on photoshop and other image software packages. This link is to the "Technical" page with all the details:

Awesome reference, thanks for posting. I just ordered my Nodal Ninja today :) Going to try making some realflight photofields. Funny, reading the tutorial for finding the no-paralax point I realized I have the exact same heater duct filter (plastic grid) he showed there, too dirty to use and I'm too lazy to clean it :) so now I have a new use for that thing :).

Another good reference is:

Google Tech Talks

ABSTRACT

Scott Highton, one of the pioneers of virtual reality photography, will present an overview of methods and techniques for photographing VR panoramas. While VR panoramas have become common for online tours in the real estate and travel industries, where low-quality point-and-shoot technique seems to prevail, Scott focuses on the higher-end and higher-quality approaches that yield memorable and evocative imagery.

Scott's talk will include discussion of the various capture and post-production technologies available for panoramic imaging today, as well as a look behind the scenes at real-life VR photo shoots.
