My friend have problem with his Logo 14, 3 times have he crashed/saved the heli when he lost one tailblade midflight.

Bolt sheered straight off inside the hub (thrusted hub)

Bolts are NOT overtighten.
He has replaced the hub it self once.
Grips, bearings etc have been replaced.
Shaft seems to run true, no vibrations whatsoever.

He was running Vblades 95mm (different sets of blades)

Ideas?, Im stumped

As posted on another forum Fredrik, this is "extremely" strange. I never even heard of this happening with the Logo hubs or bolts. I would have your friend get in touch with Mikado straight away and send in the bolt and hub for anaylsis. Has your freind been using the bolts that come with hub or has he been using a aftermarket type? I never ran over 92mm tr blades, but you would not think 95 would be to much force,,, weird man!

Two different hubs (one he got from me).
Dont know about the bolts.

Yep, strange indeed.

This happened to me once on my Raptor 50. Scared the :BSS out of me. TT sells a SUS hub now. Anyways hope you get it resolved soon. Those kinds of things keep me from sleeping.

Too much travel on the tail slider (too much pitch on the tail blades) ?
Tail blade retaining screws too tight causing a high frequency vibe when the tail blade tries to lead/lag ?

MRMel....I had the same thing happen tome 3 times on my logo 14 as well...twice it was with the aluminum hub...and then once with the thrusted tail...Lucky for me I never crashed..

It was kind of funny to see the whole blade and grip launch off the machine..

I was using 95mm tails as well...I think NTM maybe right though...maybe too much total pitch?

I don't have a logo 14 any more so I don't have the problem now...

it was me who had the problem. I have maxed out the tail pitch, but it dont bind at the extremes. Maybe i have to use 92mm blades at most or even 85 mm just to be sure. Are there any here that have used 95mm blades for long time without any trouble?

I used 95mm for quite a while, no problems. If you're getting the pitch slider all the way to the inside, that's too much pitch. Set it up so that you've more or less got an equal number of degrees pitch both ways, after setting it for max travel towards the hub.
