How much current drain am I looking at, realistically (AR9000, ATG with a 9254, 3-8717's, and a 611 with a 9256) in a 50 size 3D helicopter.
Which regulator and battery?

2900 mah or the 4300 mah will work fine. The larger one will just offer more flights between charges.
With the electronics listed,
your probably looking at 8-10 10-12 min flights with the 2900 mah before needing to recharge
the 4300 I would say 14-15 flights of the same duration.
All this would depend on how smooth every thing is operating. But I would say the above flights is a good estimate.
5.3 or 5.6 volt regulator will work fine. I suggest the regulator with the fail safe switch installed on it.
