From the start, stock GAUI blades were a bit off with that foil covered surface. On some places loose, on other starting to peal off. Hitting a large size bug would help there. I decided to peal the foil off and paint it myself.
I sanded the blades to fine surface, covered the blades in acrylic varnish and repeated that a few times.
I got something like that:

Red / white combination looks great on a sunny day, you can't see any colour on blades on a grey day anyway.

I got to the point where i can say, strip the blades!
I made a simple test. Spinning the blades in governor mode at 1700 rpm, at -5° collective for 5 minutes sharp. I recharged the pack with 10% difference. At my flight times that's almost a minute and a half longer flight. Presto, less power consumption and quieter blades.
