Looks like the dragway has an event scheduled on Sunday May 1st.
Will it still allow flying at the site on that day?

Last I heard if there is a Speedway event there can't be any flying this was an issue last year for one event if I remember correctly.
Please let us know!
Also, it looks like the TORCHES website could use some serious updating!

Yep....you've gone so far south that you have to look up to see down. :)

does anyone have the gps coordinates to the field?
GPS ccordinance LAT 28.5541452 LONG -81. 106738 If that does not
help check terraserver.microsoft.com and you will find where the flying
field is.

okay the correct gps to field is long -81.09404 lat 28.55795 on field

Okay, while you guys are flying, me and lil stone are going to Animal Kingdom. Can someone please let me know how far the park is from the flying field.

Animal King dom is about 20 miles or 30 minutes drive

The address to torchs field is 19442 east hwy 50 Bithlo , If you are
coming to town for the fun-fly on sat and sun there are hotel near by
2 to 3 miles haeding west on hwy 50. :D

Here are some directions if you are coming from the east coast.
Take I-95 to SR 50 West. Go west on SR 50 for about 12-15 minutes, you will pass a town called Christmas, then you will see an overpass for SR 520, the field is 1/4-1/2 mile west of 520 on SR 50. You will see a sign that says Orlando Speedworld and a drag racing school bus. Take a left into Speedworld, just before the first ticket booth take a left through the gate. The field is on the right. Hope to see you all there.
