I just like a throttle cut switch and didn't like the way the DX7 uses the trim and throttle recovery to cut your nitro engine. So i figured out a way to set up custom mix and make a throttle cut switch.

Video Link ->How to set up a Throttle Cut Switch on a DX7 radio (23 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex600_nitro&filename=dx7cutswitch.wmv)

Enjoy,

Great Bob! I was just looking at doing the same thing today...pulled out the manual and everything.

But...how would I do the same thing with the AUX2 switch? I'm running a TRex450 with a CC35 and I like their new heli fixed endoint mode for heli's. Problem is, I'm getting into autos and would like to have a "bail out mode". What I had envisioned was setting up the HOLD switch with about 5-10% percent throttle to keep the motor going so that when I flip back to power up the motor, I don't have that spool up lag with the motor. The CC link software advises me to set up a flight mode position to practice autos but I'm not happy with that.

Can I program the AUX2 as a safety switch just like you'd use the throttle hold while setting up to fly? I think this might tie in well with your nitro throttle cut idea.

Unfortunatly no... YOu will find the mixes on throttle DONT WORK when in hold mode. So you could do this but you have to come out of hold to make the cut work.

Thanks Bob, very helpful indeed.
One Q, can I assign another switch? in particular Aileron D/R.
I find it more intuitive to use my right hand for throttle management.

Ever your humble disciple, ( :kiss)
lol.

Great Stuff! One question though. How do I change my "ON" to "OFF" like it is in the video. I cannot get my throttle cut-off to work and that is the onlything that is different on mine.

Thanks,

Frank

Murocflyer the on off is control by the switch the you have used for the throttle cut if it is off then throttle cut is not activated flick the switch to on and engine will cut
