Sure...there are several clubs in the Atlanta area. The most active for heli's is most likely the CCRC in Cobb County. Tends to be a little crowded and as such I joined the PCMA out west of Atlanta. Has more guys flying planes but is a great bunch of guys. Let me know what part of town you're considering and I can let you know what's out there. The websites for the above are ...

And Welcome to Atlanta!

There is another club further south, so it really depends on where you'll be living. When are you moving down?

I live in athens, but visit the ATL quite often. I'm very interested in a heli / plank club. I get bored by myself at the intramural fields.... I mean, what good are 3d skills when you can't show them off? :) /sarcasm

There's a club in Loganville I went to a few times and of course CCRC. Other than that, I also fly at my parent's property just outside Athens. There's a buncha space and no one to bother you.

I will be in Marietta staying near the Cobb Galleria Mall the first two weeks in February. Other than CCRC are there any good fields to fly at nearby.
Thanks,

I live in Snellville right now while the house is being built in Athens. I wish you could've chimed in sooner as I am going back to college this weekend. I still come home on the weekends to hang out with my GF and to work but most Fridays, I have an open spot from about 1:00 to 5:00. The guys in loganville are extremely nice and inviting but everyone I saw there flew planes. Here's their homepage: http://www.hilltopflyers.com/
I can help you out here and there but you just have to let me know.
Good Luck!

There is a field in Dunwoody where I help new pilots learn the basics. About 20-30 electric pilots attend. You are welcome to attend this Sunday from 12-5. Our yahoogroups name is Atl_Heli_RC sign on and get directions. The park name of the park is Leanne Levitan Park.

Kennesaw would have you at the CCRC field.

Kennesaw would have you at the CCRC field.
You could also come try PCMA in Paulding which is not too far from the Cobb field. Not too many heli pilots but then again ... not too many heli pilots! :) I typically get in 20+ flights in an afternoon flying my raptors!
