I've been in to heli for almost 6 mos now. I can fly comfortably in all orientations except nose in. I can do fast forward and backward flights, figure 8s and circles. I can put/fly my heli to specific spots where I want it to go.
For about a month now, I've been learning to hover nose in. I bring my heli to about 20 ft., make sure I'm in a stable tail in hover then slowly bring the heli nose in. I can do that for about a minute each pack, at the most.
Last night, I sat down in front of my Mac. Fired up Reflex XTR (using Bootcamp) and hovered and flew nose in only for about 2 hours!
This morning, I used 5 packs to hover nose in only. On the 6th pack, I was very comfortable with it that I was able to turn my heli nose in at about 4 ft and hover almost endlessly. I was very comfortable doing it that I can do a forward flight, slow down for a very quick hover, turn the nose toward me, hover nose in and bring the heli close to me (about 10 ft).
Another good thing is that my knees no longer tremble when I'm doing this routine.
