airframe-ONLY hurricane 550????

Hello hurricane owners,

I currently fly a TT mini titan on 4s packs and am looking for a larger heli (on a budget) and I like the hurricane.

However I cannot seem to find one for sale anywhere as a airframe only. I can only find the kit that comes with motor,esc,&bec. Can this heli be purchased without the motor/esc? I would like to use the 4s packs that I have so I am pretty sure I would want to use a different motor than what is included in the kit & I dont want to pay for a motor/esc that is useless for a 8s setup.

Any help & advice would be greatly appriciated.

Cool thanks!!! Yeah I usually buy from amain because they are 20 minutes from me & I can just pick stuff up. They dont sell that package that readyheli has.
Boy do you save some cash by getting the combo. $250 for airframe kit, $320 for airframe,motor,esc,bec. Thats only $70 bucks for the motor/esc/bec.
I can't even find a motor for that. I wonder how long the Gaui motor/esc would last on a 8s setup? Then when something goes out I'll replace it with and appropriate componenet for 30volt.

I really like CC esc's. But it seems that doing everything separate is going to get spendy real fast.
550 airframe $250
CC HV-45 esc $135
I dont see a lot of choice for motors... $100 - $250

On the low end, going this way will run about $500 to get the same parts for a 8s setup Vs $320 for the combo equiped for 6s.

AAAHHHhhh when am I just gonna win the lottery already....

Z30 1100Kv will be just fine on 8S. They are available from tppacks.com for $105
