The Winamac Fun Fly proved to be just that, FUN! While I couldn't make it Saturday, I was able to make it today. Weather was great, filed was nice and with only a few there today, plenty of flying.

The Turbine ran great. The Gasser was also running great and I had a great opportunity to do more areobatic practice. Larry C was there and he helped me round out my loops a lot better. I also decided to try a roll. WOW, can that thing roll. A lot faster then my Raptor 50. Speaking about the Raptor..... On my first flight of the day, I was getting ready to do some loops so I went into a stall turn, as I came down I noticed that the heli had decided to do a roll on its own. I thought that a bit strange so I decided to land and check it out. So far, nothing found. Oh Well it's cheaper to fly the Gasser and more fun with the turbine.

Larry was out flying his modifed Bergen as an E-Bergen and got some great flights in. Of course, he was out helping more people then actually flying. He was also my fireman during turbine starts. My thanks to him.

I hope this fun fly returns next year becuase it was a well run show ay a nice facility.

It was a great 1st yr funfly with a great field and lots of great people . it is on the list for next yr for sure .
I enjoyed the small size and a little relaxed flying that so often don't happen at bigger funflys . Several big name guys came Sat and did some great flying ,,but for the most part it was just normal guys having fun and even quite a few newbies just hovering and doing gentle flying .

Glad that Lou made it for Sun and it was great to see him fly his birds and have a lot of fun and represent the Bergen team so well ,, as my turbine is down waiting for repair parts . We flew a lot ,, I even ran my car battery down charging my batteries for the E Bergen and had to get a jump start to go home :O

They have a big turbine plane funfly coming up in two weeks that I plan on going to,, just to watch as they have a big paved runway and some 12 foot or more wingspan twin turbine birds that one guy flys there . One is a lear jet , and the other is an A-10 warthog .. This is just a must see funfly close to home ... this is not the first time for this and they guess that around 65 guys will be there . thurs thru Sun.

Hope to see ya there
