Best place to mount the GY611 ???

Looking at the pictures in the manual it shows that the GY611 gyro being mounted at the rear of the heli.
Is this the best location for the gyro as if so why ?

some people will say that putting at the back helps keep it away from interference.
others will say that it really doesn't matter.

Just make sure its level all round - in the plane of the swash at mid sticks. Probably front marginally better (on the cyclic servos or the custom gyro mount (http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=HN6051)) as it's more out of the exhaust and you don't have to demount it off the tail boom case when you break a TT bevel gear - seems to work equally well in both places.
