My 13 year old son Mike got to try out his new Hawk yesterday. Of course no-one thought to bring a buddy cord, so He flew with verbal commands from the 'Old Man'.
He was nervous at first, but once he saw it wasn't squirrely, he got it out of ground effect, and settled down. 1 1/2 tanks of fuel without dorking it, although he let it wander all over the place it was within 50 feet of where He started.
Thanks to Nick and Lil Z for showing him kids can do it, it has motivated him to bring his grades up so He can fly..
Mom and I think it's worth it!
Weather permitting, pics from todays flying will follow.
