I have a totally stock Axe and did the Gyro Upgrade this weekend. I installed the GY240 and C-12 BEC exactly as described in the upgrade instructions.

The tail motor does not work now. It beeps twice every few seconds and doesn't stop beeping. The blue light stays steady on the BEC.

I triple checked the install wiring as compared to the instructions. It is perfect!

The tail trim is in the center when I plug the battery in. Everything else on the Heli works fine.

I tried reversing the Gyro switch and it does the exact same thing.

Broken BEC? Bad Gyro? Please help

The problem was the tail motor Speed Control has a jumper for either NimH or Lipo. The jumper comes standard in the NimH position which senses overvoltage if you connect a Lipo. Swap the jumper to the Lipo position and everything works fine.

Did you have any plans on upgrading your motor to a B/L setup? I've been working on a friend's ACP and am a little disappointed in the overall stock config. I haven't tried dropping a LiPo in yet, but I'm not sure if that will help much.

I would like to see one with a little better setup as this bird has at least a decent chance at flying well, but I doubt it's really worth putting too much into it!

Happy flying!
