Hi Guys,

I just can't seem to get my Titan started properly. I have the stock TT Pro 50. I as well left the suggested carb settings. If I just try and start it it will do nothing. If I hold my finger over the exhaust for a moment it will start, go ballistic and the die after a second or two. I thought to myself it may be a fuel line issue so I replace all fuel lines and it still does the same thing. I have never gotten this engine started properly by the way so this is just not new behavior from a previously well running engine. Any suggestions short of going to a OS engine?

Thanks,

Dan

First guess is a too lean idle?

Sounds like a lean situation to me. I would start by opening the main jet a 1/2 to 1 turn counter clockwise and see if this helps.
If the same thing happens i would check your fuel lines out and replace them if they are the stock fuel lines as they are junk.
The little hose in the tank with the clunk on the end is a very small hose that can easily have a small hole in it causing the carb to get be getting air.
Look to see if you can see small air bubbles in the fuel line after it runs for those few seconds

is this a new setup or used if used id change the glow plug then ck the fuel lines expecially the clunk line and check the carb for trash if new id double check the carb settings i belive the factory settins is 3 out on main and 1.5 out on low speed also check the pressure line from the muffler as it sounds like your losing pressure .
