I have the same esc running gov mode. I think you will like it in gov mode very much... I bought the casle link and it maks it very easy to dail in your settings and allows you to update the firmware in the esc adding some featres. Gov mode just make Tx setup sooo quick and easy. And the CC35 gov works well.

Yes i have the CClink and it's very nice. Could you post your ESC settings?
Thanks

I have dabbled with the Governor mode on the CC35. I would like your guidance on ESC settings and your throttle curves too.
I'm also interested in how my setup or use of the throttle & pitch curves would change when using Governor mode. I noted that the auto spool up changes things a bit, it's really slow. What setting should I use on the throttle hold so that it doesn't go through the slow spool up during auto's?
I appreciate your help.

Watch Finless vids here: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=36194
They are for the CC 85HV but everything applies to the CC35 setup as well.
He walks you through setting your gearing and throttle curves so that the esc has proper headroom for the gov to give it some gas under load.
My throttle curves are
norm: 72-72-72-72-72
idle1: 75-75-75-75-75
idle2 78-78-78-78-78
But your will be different. I just use the trottle hold switch for take off and landing. The soft start comes in here. You can select different spool up speed on the soft start.
Also you can use a normal curve like 0-72-72-72-72 to avoid having to use the hold switch. There are some things to be aware of when doing this. Bob explains well in the vids.
Your pitch curves will stay the same.
And for hold you just want to make sure that the minimum throttle setting is not giving zero input. Just enough throttle to keep the motor engaged. Also choose a spool up speed that doesnt take toolong to get back in the power but isnt to snappy as to jerk to hard and risk stripping gears and such.
Hope this helps & happy flying,
Noah

I run 10 for spool up, it's very smooth with no jerks. Certainly nothing that would strip a gear or even make a blade move.

I have used the CC85 govenor and it works very well! However, I'm not impressed with the govenor on the CC35. I will be going back to fixed end points tomorrow.

I wonder if there is something unusual going on with yours. One the eagle tree MY rpms fluctuate very little with full pitch punch outs and such. I'll get about 50rpm or less loss in HS at full stick. I think more because of the motor, I only have a jgf450th. I cant tictoc yet so I havent had a chance to really bang on the collective super hard. What kind of headroom do you have in fixed endpoint mode at your desired headspeed?
I think I am right about 80% throttle in fixed endpoint mode to get my desired headpeed. Maybe the 35 doesnt do as well at lower headrooms like the 85 does???
Either way I am sorry to hear it is not working for ya. These governers really are so nice when they work right.

Make sure you have it in High gov mode, this may be the cause of your problems.

Also have you tried to adjust the gain for the gov in gov-high mode?

LITHIUM...what motor, heli, batteries, etc? Are you setting it up for a linear throttle curve in normal mode (0,25,50,75,100) and adjusting endpoints, then checking headspeed at 75-80% and getting what you're looking for in governor mode? If you are you should be running great in governor mode with the right programming. Let me know all settings in the ESC and throttl settings in all flight modes. Email me at the addy below.

My only problem is getting the gain right. The tail keeps kicking! Tried 33, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60... I think I'm going to go low on the gain tomorrow.... 25, 20, 15, 10 see what happens. If that does settle the tail down I'm going to put it back in fixed end points and get a Kontroniks Jazz that's said to have a rock sold smooth ass govenor.
