Guys, i have flew my Honey Bee King 2 for a month, now i have just purchased 3800KV brushless with 25A ESC, 1800 lipo, 2200lipo, Esky HH Gyro, and a Futaba 9CHP. However, its my 1st time owing this tx, so i was wondering if there is any link or help in setting up this heli, since all these while i have been using the supplied tx. any step-by-step help would be very much appreciated. thanks

guys, installed my 3800KV esky brushless and futaba receiver last nite, having a hard time installing brushless in it. keke... but managed to get it done, now i want to ask all sifu here a few questions:

1. futaba 149 receiver, how do we connect the servo to which channel? coz i used the same channel as per esky instruction manual
2. Esky 0704A HH Gyro, how come the wire is not white and black, but orange and brown? so which color shd we plug into the receiver? and also there is one sensing socket to be plug into ch5, with only 1 wire, which way shall we plug in?
3. so after installing all electronics, what shd i do, coz i think need to program the ESC and tx.
4. 9CHP setting, can anyone advise how to step-by-step setting for king2?
5. where do u guys mount the brushless ESC? photo would be good to show the neat wiring fixing.

thanks.

Hello Uniq,

Cant give ya to much info concering your other questions but as for Q:2.

Orange=White
Brown = black

For thge gyro, the single wire connection. Look at the rest of the pluges on the RX. That single wire would be on the same plane/side as the rest of the white/orange wires.

Responses about the HBK2 seem to get more attention in the Electric Micro/Mini Helicopters (http://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40) section. Thats what it is, a Mini. Might want to try there. Or make a new thread with a link to this one so you dont got double post going on.

I also saw a thread or two in the Eflite section.

Just some HBK2 threads that have been active might wanna give them a read:

thanks for the help. wow, i managed to setup my heli and tx, now here comes the headache.

- i found that on king 2 compared to Trex 450SE, some of the linkage on King 2 are actually fixed, like the top linkage (dunno wat its call) that we place it within the blade holder and also another one above. so my question here is how do we set the pitch for low, mid, and high throttle with 9CHP? Reason i m asking is because before my upgrade to brushless and 9CHP, i always full throttle and set the pitch at that level, totally ignoring the mid and low throttle, the some research show me that we actually need to set the pitch at different level. Do we use the throttle curve to set this pitch? coz i was figuring out the whole nite playing with throttle and pitch curve.

here is wat i use, pls advise if its ok
throttle curve 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 - i try to set it to 35, 45, 50, 75, 100 but esky brushless wouldn't move.
pitch curve 45, 50, 60, 80, 100 - i play with this until i got the -6 on low, 0 at mid, +10 at full throttle

- Esky HH gyro, somehow it tend to spin super fast in clockwise direction, then when i push right rudder it stop, but the when i let go, it spins crazy again. i remember my frenz who use coclo GY400 also like that, we tried everything, but when we about to give up, it went ok. so may i know whats wrong with it? is there a switch on 9CHP that we need to on to use HH?
urgent help needed coz intend to fly tonite. haha...

Make sure the Esky HH gyro is mounted correctly. With the tail of the heli toward you - mount the gyro upright with the label facing the heli tail and the gyro's servo connection facing the left side.

I have a Belt CP and I use the HH gyro with the gain turned all the way up.

UNIQUEXME.....

re fitting the 3800, if its an Esky motor it dont fit straight in the HBK2, but it can be done.....

or it can be don with fabricated spacers and specific length mounting screws, check out subzzzzzero's post's theres an explanation somewhere in his video comments
