Is there a certain side of the ball links that should be facing the ball or does it not matter? Both sides appear to look the same to me.

Look at the ball link from the side. The top of the ball link is beveled one direction. The beveled part should be facing outward when installed on the ball.

I'm starting to feel real stupid :? I still can't figure out which way these ball links go on. One side of the link has straight edge around the hole. The other side is slightly tapered right on the edge the hole. Which of these two sides should face the ball?

Hold the ball link up in front of you. Have the ball link orientated so that you can look straight thru the hole. Now turn the ball link 90 degs, so that your looking at the side of the ball link. Now look at the very top of the ball link. On the top of the link, one side will be beveled more than the other side. The side that is beveled the most will face outward when installing it on the ball.

What part of the heli is this referring to? I am starting to wonder if I missed that part of the instruction.

We are talking about installing the ball links onto the balls. The top of the ball link there is a side that is beveled more. This beveled side of the link should face outward from the ball it is being installed on.

I did not know that there was a particular direction that ball links were to be put on but I have noticed that one side of the ball has a slightly larger hole than the other so have been putting them on with the larger hole facing and poping onto the ball. Is there any danger of the ball link comming off if its put on facing the wrong way as when making up your rods you often need to do a 1/2 turn adjustment to get the lengths spot on so this would mean that one ball-link is in the wron direction ? Unless we upgrade to reverse threaded rods which can be adjusted without the need to remove the ball-links

Look in my gallery and put your cursor over the pics for a discription. I've been meaning to do this for a while.
