G'day,
I'm having issues with my g410t gyro in that it is stripping gears in my tail rotor servo like there's no tomorrow. I'm following the instructions that came with the gyro to the letter. In rate mode it all works fine, the amount of movement has been limited to eliminate binding. When I switch it to Tail Lock and move the stick to confirm the limits the gyro is set properly, I move the stick to full travel and it drives the servo to the point where it binds then proceeds to strip the gears. Now the gears aren't expensive ($AUD 3.45) but it is frustrating when you do it by the book and it doesn't work.
The setup is hdx450 with the g410t gyro driving a hs-81. I'm using a JR3810 for control. The main reason this is frustrating me is it is an almost identical program to the one I used for my trex450s and it never stripped gears.
Oh and by the way, the instructions at http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo/Files/jrpg410t-manual.pdf are different to the ones that come with the gyro. Just to confuse the issue even more.
Have I made a basic mistake, not read the instructions properly, or is it possible that there is a fualt in the system somewhere?
Thanks in advance
