Realising that a JRx9303 won't be allowed to be used in UK, I'm looking forward to the Euro spec version, to be called I think the DSX9. Seems to be all rumour at the moment though.
Does anyone have any concrete info on the DSX9 and know when its due to be released in UK??????
Please!

I'm from Australia and have been waiting for the DSX9 since early September. Local distributor modelflight keeps pushing the release date back on their website. There now saying early November, but I called them on the 3rd and they still can't give me a firm date. Damn frustrating, I have a new CAP232 and T-Rex 450 SE V2 and can't fly either.

Even when it does finally arrive at Modelflight, you won't be able to buy one unless you pre-ordered it. The initial shipment is completely sold out. They told me I can't get one for several months.

Luckily I did pre-order one a couple of months back. Supposed to be available at the end of this month, but who knows?

Hi,
I can see from forums that there are a lot of dicussions and expectations on the new JR DSX9. But what is the big difference between the already available JR X9303 and the new JR DSX9 ?

Big difference is that niether are available in Australia yet. Could purchase a X9303 from overseas, but warranty would be a problem. DSX9 will be the Aussie version (also has digital trims). Looks like we will have to just wait, and wait, and wait and.......

Warranty is not a problem as long as you sent it back to the original reseller. I bought many things from overseas and never had a problem with warranty issues. Actually it sometimes takes longer to get repairs/replacements from local resellers then overseas ones. I had to wait half a year to get a replacement motor from a local shop......

Does the X9303 have mechanical trims???
I'm really tempted to change my 9CHPS for a 2.4 and the 7 point curves of the X9303 looks appealing but why going with mech trims in a brand new 2.4 radio:dontknow.it's like putting vacuum operated windshield wipers on a Hummer to me.
I always loved the 9303 since it was quite popular between the glider guys, but I decided to go with the Futaba 'cause it was what I ever had (25+ years ago) and it was a lot cheaper.
Now I got into helis it seems the money difference is not that much. If I could only lower my crashing rate, I would be able to get it for free.
So, back to the original question... Can anybody confirm that the trims on the X9303 are not digital?
Thanks,
WillJames

I think only the throttle trim is mechanical, rest are digital from what I have been told. Still waiting for my X9303.

First shipment of jr dsx9's has arrived in OZ, but the rotten scum at modelflight sold mine( which was pre-ordered for the past three months). Looks like they gave the first lot to the customers of their choice and not those that actually ordered one. Next shipment is due next month some time.:arggg:
I hope they all get cancer for Christmas :)

i got mine, picked the last one up from the lhs. Its just a 9xv2 with a glued in module in the back. No software improvements as far as i can tell. But can change modes with digital trims all round. Not even sure if it has servo sync like the dx7 has.
The manual is a 9xv2 manual, with an extra couple page booklet telling you about 2.4ghz.

After playing with one and seeing that the menus are as easy or easier than my 9C I bought one from RCHover (http://www.rchover.com/jr_)!
I hear the mechanical trim is more about safety but I am not going to argue that point since the trim is about the least thing I care about. I was more concerned about putting the Futaba gyro on the gear channel but once I saw it work I was ordering

i got some insider info that modelflight have been and will continue to sell to "customers on the day" before filling any backorders or retailers backorders as they make more money just quitting them quick.... bloody pisses me off as i ordered the dsx9 about 4 1/2 months ago and a mate of mine who didnt even order walked in the day the shipment came in and got one....... bloody frustrating

Hey Patrick I know the feeling well. Don't be surprised if the dictators at Modelflight ban your IP address from their website, they did mine! Must have been my Christmas wishes from my last post( Any how it's quit easy to change it, but after this post I might have to change it again)
Looks like I might have to go into Modelflight in person for their next shipment, knowing the arrival date will be the tricky part.
That way at least I could leave a steamy crap on their counter!

PS. I will never shop at modelflight again.

MF used to be a FANTASTIC place to shop. Now the $ is more important to them Some of the young bucks there have no idea of customer service. I am buying less and less there now. I also want a DSX9 but am reluctant to get one from them. I am running a JR 9X with XPS moduel. Works great and I have 6 receivers on various a/c and helis. Only issue is geting their 6 channel receiver which is not avaliable and I need 4 so If I get a DSX9 I can get all the 6 channel receivers I want.
