Hi all, just about finished my build of my kit. I think it is one of the newer spec kits as it came with the 1500W motor and 75 amp esc. Also included in the box was a HV (high voltage?) Leton 2.5amp BEC my freinds hurricane has a normal BEC and separate receiver lipo pack. I am assuming the HV BEC hooks up to the main battery to provide power for the servos etc. I am trying to keep the build budget down and have used the futaba 3151 servos that came with my radio on cyclic and have a 9402 servo (not sure how this will work out on the tail so may change it - but I had the servo lying about) for the tail to go with a gy240 gyro. Has anyone out there used this supplied HV BEC or would I be better to grab the Align 3amp bec and 1100mAh battery out of my 600 - I was thinking of upgrading this to a 6 amp unit anyway.

Arethe HV BECs prone to glitching since they are connected to the ESC power connector?

Thanks in advance

I am not sure if they are prone to glitching but I ran the Hercules BEC on my 550 and now on my Logo 500 and I have had no problems. I didn't want to run a seperate pack so the BEC was the logical choice for me.

I'm using a Hyperion TiCool SBEC... 4 amps continuous, 5 amp surge and it seems just fine.

I use cheap UBEC $15 for my 7s A123 for almost 9 months. With DX7 never has any glitches.
